# Web | Event Type Configuration

When creating an Event in the **Calendar ** ![](https://spydertech.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Icon-Round-Scheduler.png) users must specify the Event Type. Event Types are configured in **Fields** ![](https://spydertech.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Icon-Round-Fields-295x300.png)

1. Go to **Main Menu** > **Settings**![](https://spydertech.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Icon-Round-Settings-297x300.png) > **Fields **![](https://spydertech.net.au/wp-content/uploads/2024/05/Icon-Round-Fields-295x300.png)
2. Select **+ CREATE NEW**
3. Complete the form as follows:
   1. ***Type***: Select **Calendar Event Type**from the dropdown
   2. ***Value***: Type a value (eg. Appointment). This will show in the Event Type dropdown when creating or editing an Event in the Calendar.
   3. ***Code***: Type a value (eg. APPT). This is not used or displayed anywhere else in SpyderFlow.
   4. ***Description***: Type a value (eg. An appointment is a scheduled time for a meeting or arrangement). This is not used or displayed anywhere else in SpyderFlow.
4. Select **SAVE**
