Location: Main Menu –> Settings
These are workflow settings for key items to work with user input in the SpyderFlow system. Some are pre-requisite to uploading data to SpyderFlow.
For example:
- Set up minimum of One (1) Company at start of SpyderFlow onboarding
- Clients may need to be set prior to input of properties
- Fields may need to be created for some dropdowns. If you cannot complete a fill out field section: check if you need to create the dropdown field first to then choose and progress.
Set up!
- Companies – this is to enable a user of SpyderFlow to undertake work from different companies that may be part of their enterprise,
- Areas – this is the ability to set geographical areas that are required by the users of SpyderFlow to manage their work activity,
- Projects – this is the ability to consolidate scopes, quotes and work orders into a particular project so that reporting an invoicing can be done on a project basis,
- Fields – this is the listing of fields that are available within the system for use by SpyderFlow users.
Companies
In your first time usage of SpyderFlow check you have a Company in Settings –> Companies –> List of Companies.
- There needs to be an minimum 1 x Company.
- If your Company is not added then click +Create New to add details.
- Save when complete
- Go back to ‘List of Companies’ to check, view, sort, search, filter or export companies details.
Areas
Areas are locations that can be set up as you go, or pre organised during subscription onboarding if required.
- Can be filtered, searched, sorted and exported once set up your List of Areas.
To Set up Areas
- Main Menu –> Settings –> Areas –> List of Areas –> +Create New
- Name: (City/Location) eg. Newcastle
- Code: (Code to give the Area) eg. NC
- Is Default: (tick checkbox if Yes)
Projects
Projects can be set up as you go with details.
- Can be filtered, searched, sorted and exported once set up your List of Projects.
To Set up Projects
- Main Menu –> Settings –> Projects –> List of Projects –> +Create New
- Name: (Project Name)
- Code: (Project Code)
- Is Default: (tick checkbox if Yes)
Fields
Fields are used in many areas throughout SpyderFlow. On subscription creation there will be a default set of fields with your workflow management system.
However, if you need to add additional fields: Go to Main Menu –> Settings –> Fields –> List of Fields
- Search current fields to Edit if the field is not quite correct.
- Or +Create New to add new fields.
- Choose Type of field (What type of field is this to be and where will it be located? eg Asset Attachment type – Attachment field in Asset)
- Fill in Value and Code (Value name like Photo, Document, General, Office, Cleaning – what is the field for?). Code can be alphabetical or numerical.
- Description: Add descriptive details if needed (Optional)
- Is Default? tick checkbox for Yes or leave unticked for No (Optional)
- Order Index: Numerical value if required (Optional)
