New Features
Asset & Property Status #web #mobile
A new system-based status field has been added to the Details > Location tab for both Assets and Properties. This feature enables users to set one of the following statuses:
- Active – Work Activities can be raised on Assets/Properties with this status.
- On Hold – Existing Work Activities can be managed and closed, but no new Work Activities can be raised while the Asset/Property is in this status.
- Disabled – Assets/Properties cannot be set to this status if they have open Work Activities. Once in this status, no new Work Activities can be raised.
The Status field can also be added as a column in the List of Assets and List of Properties screens to support easy filtering and management.
Note: This is separate from the “Status” field found in the Details > Details tab
Improved Mobile UI for Attachments and Notes #mobile
The Attachments and Notes components on mobile have been updated to enhance overall usability and display hierarchy. Users can now view both Work Order and Purchase Order attachments and notes when viewing a Work Order. Each item is clearly labelled to indicate whether it belongs to the Work Order (Parent) or Purchase Order (Child), making it easy to differentiate and access relevant information.

Custom Start and End Times for Scheduled Work Orders #web
Users can now override the default scheduled start and due dates/times defined by the priority configuration when setting up a schedule to automatically generate work orders. This allows greater control over the timing of auto-created orders without impacting the default behavior for manually created work orders using the same priority.

Contractor Workers #web #mobile
This feature introduces support for Contractor Workers—enabling subscribers to record key details about workers engaged by external contractors, such as inductions, qualifications and their expiry, and contact information.
Each Contractor Worker is linked to a Contractor and forms part of that contractor’s workforce profile. While work is still allocated at the Contractor level, maintaining individual worker records allows providers to verify qualifications and ensure contractors are appropriately staffed to meet specific work requirements.
Contractors can manage their own workforce within SpyderFlow, including creating and updating Contractor Worker records. These updates follow a controlled workflow: changes are submitted for review and must be approved by the subscriber before becoming active—ensuring data integrity while reducing administrative burden.
Where needed, Contractor Workers can also be granted access to SpyderFlow by a designated Contractor Administrator. The administrator links the user account to the relevant worker profile, allowing the worker to log in and complete tasks in the system according to their role and permissions.
By capturing detailed information about who is carrying out the work, this feature improves contractor oversight, supports audit readiness, and ensures that the right people are deployed under the right contracts.

External Contractor Users #web #mobile
This feature introduces functionality that allows Subscribers to onboard their external contractors as users within their SpyderFlow subscription. These users will have restricted access, enabling them to view and complete only the work that has been directly allocated to them.
The goal is to eliminate the need for external communication channels (e.g., email, phone calls, spreadsheets) by keeping all contractor-related activity within the one digital system. This ensures that updates are captured in real-time, data is validated at the point of entry, and workflows are governed by system rules—improving transparency, efficiency, and compliance across the board.
This capability supports better coordination, faster turnaround times, and more accurate reporting—critical for service delivery and audit-readiness.
