RELEASE 2026-5
New Features
✦ Batch Invoicing
Batch invoicing allows multiple invoices to be combined into a single Batch Invoice that can be sent to a customer for payment.
- Invoices must be Approved or Issued before they can be added to a batch invoice.
- Invoices on a batch must share common details such as contact, company and client. Other details can differ.
- The inc/ex tax values of each original invoice are preserved and are not recalculated at line-item level.
- An invoice can belong to only one batch invoice. Batch invoices can themselves be included on another batch invoice.
- Once a batch invoice is approved, its included invoices are locked and become read-only. They can no longer be individually placed on hold, credit noted or otherwise changed.
- Issuing a batch invoice, placing it On Hold or reverting it applies the same action to all included invoices.
- When a batch invoice is marked as Paid, each included invoice is marked as fully paid and a payment entry is added showing the payment came from the batch invoice.
- Credit noting or voiding a batch invoice releases its included invoices. Credit notes apply to the whole batch invoice.
✦ Separate Invoice Approval and Issuing
A new Issued step has been added to the invoice workflow, separating invoice approval from issuing.
- Each invoice category can be configured to issue invoices automatically or manually once they are approved.
- Approving an invoice sends the system export to the client interface (if configured).
- Issuing an invoice sends the invoice emails and the financial interface export.
- Payment dates are now refreshed automatically when an invoice moves to Approved and again when it moves to Issued.
- Invoices are not visible to external users until they have been issued.
- Additional BC options are now available based on invoice category.
- Credit notes are always issued automatically.
✦ New Work Order Status
The work order and purchase order workflow has been extended to provide clearer visibility:
- A new Completed [On Site] status indicates that all work has been completed on site, but the associated administration tasks are still outstanding.
Existing work orders and purchase orders will not be changed.
✦ Global Search on Web
Global Search is now available on web, in line with mobile. Use the search bar in the Side Bar Menu to find work orders, purchase orders and other items across SpyderFlow without navigating through different menus.
Search results open the standard page for the selected item. Using the browser back button or Back to list returns you to your search results with your query retained.
