What are Quotes?

Quotes in SpyderFlow enable an organisation to manage the process of getting the best proposal from subcontractors or employees to complete the work that has been approved to be done. This means in a quote you can: –

• run a tendering process to get as many subcontractor or employee quotes as needed,
• manage the process of sending, receiving, awarding, and notifying of the status of the quotes,
• Attach and issue any attachments (photos, documents), that are required to be considered as part of the quoting process.

The quote works by identifying, as a minimum, the address of the property that has the approved work to be undertaken along with the due date for the quote to be completed and the company who the quote is being done on behalf of. When the quote is created there are other optional fields that can be completed in line with the user’s business process.

If the quote has been created by flowing a scope into the quote all the relevant details from the scope will be in the quote. This means that what a user needs to do is to click on the pricing tab and send the information requiring a quote to nominated subcontractors/employees. When the subcontractors/employees reply that interaction can be tracked and managed within the quote and provide an audit trail of the process.

If the quote is being created directly then the user will need to fill out all the relevant detail including what items will be required for quoting. Once this is completed the user can then click the pricing tab and send the items to nominated subcontractors/ employees for quoting.
